WordPress 2.3.1 available for download

WordPress 2.3.1 has been released, but doesn’t bring any features, just security and bug fixes, as you can read:

  • Tagging support for Windows Live Writer
  • Fixes for a login bug that affected those with a Blog Address different than
    their WordPress Address
  • Faster taxonomy database queries, especially tag intersection queries
  • Link importer fixes

Download WordPress 2.3.1.

    I would like to use this soon. Unfortunately, the version of Plesk that we’re running on our servers doesn’t support the latest versions of PHP/MySQL so WordPress 2.1+ isn’t jiving. Too bad because it leaves open vulnerabilities.

    Tried the lastest wordpress 2.3.1, nothing fascinating. Same old application with lesser bug. :P

    This is something that bothered me quite a long time: how the hell to upgrade and maintain the 55+ blogs.

    I mean every freaking new updated used to create a stream of sweat for me before I tried the

    I had a hard work converting a Geeklog based website to WP 2.2 (i guess), all finished, including modified templates…site was constantly down, because WP is very database-heavy. I tried wp-cache and a lot of apache/php config to optimize.
    Nothing worked, back to old geeklog.

    Well, not good experience to me using wp.

    Worked flaulessly for me, no bugs at all and it worked like a charm with the auto installer, it’s always good when things run smooth.

    @ Guess : No there are no problems now in upgrading because all the plugin developers have upgraded their plugins.

    I upgraded to the new WP and was surprised to see it fix a couple of bugs on my blog, with “pages” ( not “write a new page,” but links to uploaded files ) being marked private after I published them. The tagging is nice, too…
