The Challenge: Week #2 Update
This post is part of a series. You can read the others here.
Two weeks have passed since I’ve announced my challenge so I want to let you know what I did this week and where I’m standing.
Unfortunately my design was ready at the end of the week and I didn’t want to begin guest posting until it was ready, so I didn’t do it yet, but I have a few posts prepared for the next week. I’ve also done a lot of networking and made a few friends. The number of comments have also increased dramatically and I have 10-20 comments on each post, which makes me really happy.
This week I will continue doing interesting posts and hopefully the traffic will increase even more. Oh, I forgot about the traffic, I’ve reached a peak of 700 visits / day, which is really nice, though an average was at 450, so I’ve reached this goal. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to get the 120 subscribers I wanted, so I still have to work on that. Hopefully I’ll manage that now that the new design is up and I also have the Aweber forms on the blog.
I have to tell you I’m also preparing to release an ebook, though it might take some time until it’s ready. I’ve only written the first chapter yet.
Unfortunately it’s hard to get new subscribers without offering a quality product and it’s quite time consuming to make one, so it will take me some time until I’ll be able to squeeze subscribers properly.
So here you have the stats and next week’s goals:
This week
- 450 visits / day
- 110 subscribers
Next week
- 1000 visits / day
- 150 RSS subscribers
- 50 Aweber subscribers
Looks like you finally started to take on Aweber, good for you!
Yes, though I definitely need something to offer to my users in order to subscribe
I LOVE Aweber. Only been using them for 3-4 months but the small investment is WELL worth it. The simplicity and quick setup of any new list is amazing.
(I am not being paid by Aweber to say this!)
Told you it was hard to get the subscriber thing going
but I am sure you will get it this time!
Nice traffic stats
Yeah it’s quite hard, though I’ll do my best to reach it
The numbers are pretty nice for such a short period.
Yeah, though I want them to be much higher
That’s a great mindset for growth Alex. You must think like that to grow, otherwise you become complacent and are satisfied with no growth (which actually sets you back if competition is growing).
