3 Easy Ways To Get Backlinks and Exposure Fast

Backlinks and exposure are two important factors for every blogger and everyone wants them, though some struggle hard and don’t manage to do it. I won’t come with any mind-blowing ideas or blackhat techniques, but only 3 ideas that could bring you some backlinks, exposure and traffic for the beginning.
While you shouldn’t blog for the robots, you definitely need to care about SEO and do your best to get better ranks on search engines. The search engine traffic is usually the best, because it converts very well and is also very targeted. Fortunately, the 3 ways I will be talking about will bring you both traffic from search engines and also targeted traffic from other blogs in your niche.
So let’s get started, because I want to be quick and I also know your time is important.
1. Network
Networking can help you a lot, especially online, where you can do it extremely easy, because there are dozens of huge platforms where you can find people who have the same interests as you. So you should spend some time networking with fellow bloggers from your niche and help each other succeed and no, don’t think about competition, because they only represent a small portion of your competition. While it’s harder to succeed by yourself, you will find it way easier if you get some people by your side and help each other.
This way you can get a lot of high value backlinks from your competition and together you will be able to outrank the others, especially if they prefer to be solitary wolves.
2. Comment
Many believe comments are useless, though I really believe they can bring a lot of value, if they are written wisely. Spamming tons of blogs with comments like “Great post”, “Thanks,” and so on won’t help, because nobody will notice it and if they will, it will surely be marked as spam. But if you write intelligent comments on other blogs from your niche, you can trigger both that bloggers and readers attention, which means exposure and traffic. Some blogs have do-follow comments and other have do-follow links for the top commentators, which means quality backlinks.
You need to decide where you want to comment and subscribe to those blogs. Don’t make a huge list, because it will be hard to keep track of them all. Along with getting value from comments, you will also be able to learn more from their posts and research the way they succeed in the specific niche.
3. Link Bait
Link bait is a really controversial topic nowadays, because everyone talks about it, but few know how to do it correctly, so you need to learn more about it, do some research and test a lot. Link Bait has to be done very carefully, because everything matters when writing a post like this, especially the headline, image, and quality of the content.
Also you should know that link bait depends on the first 2 ways I have been talking about. You need to do some networking before, because some friends need to help you kick-start your link bait post. Commenting on other blogs will also bring visitors that may see your link bait post and actually link to it or share it. Link bait posts usually go viral, which also means backlinks, exposure and traffic, and that’s what you want, right ?

Am vazut ca vorbeai si in alte posturi de networking. La ce te referi cand zici asta?
off: Ai schimbat fontul cumva ?
Ma refer la socializarea cu ceilalti din nisa ta. Am tot schimbat fonturile, pentru ca nu eram multumit.
Te rog sa postezi in engleza, pentru ca e destul de iritant pentru ceilalti sa vada comentarii in alta limba
Multumesc
Romanian language, Alex? That’s really cool man! But I want to know what that means man?
Yeah, I keep telling them to post in English so you can all understand.
English is a universal language, and they must learn about it man. Time to speak English guys! Woohoo!
Especially since the blog is entirely in English!
Great post and I have used two of the methods VERY effectively. I need to improve my link-baiting though!
Link Baiting can be very effective and you have to try it
I have never tried link baiting before, I’m still learning on it though. It keeps me getting better and better on this field.
That’s good, Jeff
Link baiting is a great way to get a TON of targeted traffic if you do it right…
I agree with you Profit, and I’m learning on it to improve my ability of link building tactics.
Right, it always takes additional practice, keep working!
Thanks for the post.I really want exposure fast.
You are commenting like crazy and this helps a lot, I’m sure. You also need to focus on content
Bradley needs more exposure coz’ he will be a big-time internet kid celebrity in affiliate marketing. Go for it Brad! Keep it coming!
Bradley is EVERYWHERE. Comments on all the blogs I go to and his story is crazy. Keep it up!
He’s crazy but I praised him a lot. I’m sure that he is getting closer to become a very well-known certified internet kid celebrity. Not only him, but all of us would be famous soon.
I don’t know about that. It takes more than a little exposure to be considered famous though.
I agree to a couple of methods you got there Alex. Same here with Profit Addiction, I need to learn and improve more on link baiting. This is friendly for both newbies and pros.
Yeah, link baiting can prove to be a cash cow
Absolutely! I’m still on the learning stage and I’m working on it to improve my link building strategies.
There are so many different ways to build links, and going viral is a GREAT way.
Yeah Profit Addiction, I love to go viral and I need to work hard spreading myself to others. The more I go viral, the more I make money and friends as well.
Yep, it’s all about networking and making more friends. The more people you know the better!
Alex, comments are important mostly to network with the author of the blog, and show support. So later if you ask them question or ask for help they will be more likely to help since they know a bit about you,
Marios
That’s true, but the other commentators see your comments too, so you might get traffic and exposure.
Alex, I couldn’t agree more. My commenting strategy has brought me a lot of traffic and a TON of new readers.
That’s very nice Profit, that you have a lot of traffic and tons of new readers. As for me, I still suck and need to improve in getting good readers to my blog. I’m all fired up!
Keep at it man, keep writing great content and readers will follow.
You get two birds in one stone. Gain a new friend, the owner of the blog, and expose your blog to other visitors of the blog who may like your comment and go to your blog to know you more.
Very good said !
Jun, exactly. Accomplishing all of that by simply commenting and/or writing great content is awesome!
It’s good that I always gain new friends here in the internet, especially Alex. Friends are great for me, so I need to comment with my friends’ blogs too.
Right, that’s the way to do it. Create great conversation and people will follow for sure.
What about Twitter retweets, LinkedIn, and Facebook Fan pages ?
Also, what are your thoughts on Disqus ?
I don’t like disqus very much, though I might try it, I don’t know yet.
Twitter and Facebook are good, though they don’t help with link building very much. They are good at networking.
Networking and link-building (as Alex said) are vastly different. Link building is more along the lines of outside the social networks, but other than that, it is about working hard and learning about your potential ‘linkers’
Very good post. On may i not help me now, but i hesitate to use him again when i start building my site. Too bad you have not posted earlier.
Alex, it’s easy to get some backlinks and traffic from StumleUpon, and del.icio.us too. Facebook is also one of my biggest traffic source. In my case, Vi.sualize.us works, in yours I don’t think it will, only if you post some interesting images there.
Facebook has become one of my best traffic sources too and it’s growing really fast.
I think that if you don’t respect the first two points, link baiting can turn easily into spam.
