First thoughts about the Nokia 3250

It’s been 4 days since my brand new Nokia 3250 arrived and i had enough time to it’s every corner and discharge it’s battery 2 times. I also bought a 1gb microSD memory card for it today and it seems to work just fine.

I am glad to say that the good reviews about it are right, it’s a great music phone, with a really good sound. The headphones are really good, with hifi sound quality, but they don’t offer the bass feeling, so i changed them with some older Sony headphones, using the jack adapter, which proves to be really useful.

The phone’s operating system is quite fast, at least it is faster than my old 6680 that i had. It has great functions and tools, but i have 2 problems with it. First, it is the newest version of symbian ( i think ) and it only uses .sisx file extensions, which are very rare. The other problem is the text messages, it won’t send them, i don’t know why, i tried everything with it, but it won’t work. I think i will visit my mobile carrier soon to help me fix the problem.

Another minus is the camera, which doesn’t have a flash and the night mode is not useful at all. It can only be used in daytime, when it takes really good photos and it records well. Also i would love it if it had 3G.

The joystick ( main navigation button ) is really hard to work on, at least in the first days or it’s just me, i may got used to the 6680 other style joystick. And the delete,edit and other main buttons are very small and i often push other or more by mistake.

The browser seem to be working just fine, but i haven’t had time to use it enough to see if it has any issues.
