Don’t Take it For Granted

You probably know all marketers are liars and every ebook promises that you’ll make thousands a day or millions in a few months. Also most people who have a hypothesis try to convince the others they are right. Unfortunately many people fall for all these and they take everything for granted. That’s why “get rich quick” ebooks get sold and why people screw it day by day.

I have done this mistakes in the past too and they have affected me a lot, but now I triple check everything and test any assumption to make sure it’s true.

A few months ago a friend contacted me and said “Hey I bought an Adsense ebook that had to teach me how to earn about $200 daily and I only managed to earn $2 in 1 month.” Of course he didn’t learn anything from that ebook and only offered him a few free HTML templates, though him how to place his Adsense ads. I’m not saying there aren’t quality ebooks out there that are worth buying and reading, but you need to be careful what you pay for and of course you won’t get rich just by reading an ebook.

Also you can find a lot of people that offer surefire techniques of getting #1 on Google for any keyword and many other techniques like this. And of course they guarantee you it works, they say it has worked for them with hundreds of keywords and so on. And guess what ? A lot of naive people fall for this stuff and take it for granted.

I know it takes time to verify everything and even more time to test and research the advices you read, but at least you’ll know what you’re doing and not just rely on what others say.

  1. People really need to do their due diligence overall especially online – I feel really bad for the fact that so many people keep falling for this crap time and time again.

We, as bloggers, try to educate as many people as possible but it’s hard to get through to them.

All we can really do is be smart with our own decisions and hope that they find our posts.

  2. Thanks for the post! I always behaved cautious about that kinds of ebooks

  3. Agree with you. Not all ebook is really work. It just give some basic guide. THe important is your work and maybe a bit luck. There’s no way you can earn easy money in the net. That’s just a myth…

    • That’s right.

And a hint for you: use your own name instead your blog’s name because it sounds more personal.

  4. Alex, you are right about that. But people that buy these ebooks don’t really know what it is yet, so they buy it without doing research because they can’t

Some books are actually good and worth reading like you said. The best thing to do is check the person or company that sells the book. Or search for reviews about it.

The last time I bought an ebook is a long time ago. I think I bought the last one over a year ago and it was too about adsense. There is no such thing as reading a 10 page ebook and it will make you $200 a day.

I am still not making a lot on adsense nowadays, but got some cool projects upcoming that I hope will bring in some adsense cash.

  5. There’s only one sure thing about the fact behind this craft. . . do not fall on believing those internet marketers without any proof on what they are promoting about.
