Live.com grabs more of the search engine market ?

Relying on Alexa‘s stats, Live.com‘s traffic has considerably increased in the last year and it seems like it will soon reach Yahoo and Google. But if we look at mostly used search engines stats, it didn’t grow much, so Alexa is wrong or the users are using Live.com for everything else, excepting searching the web ? The Alexa traffic stats snapshot is attached.

There were rumors that Google is going to acquire FeedBurner, the RSS management company and now they turned out to be true. A source stated that the deal is taking place and will close in the next 2 or 3 weeks, for the price of $100 million in cash. Google Adsense to Ban The Arbitrage Publisher Accounts and MFA Websites Accounts

Google Adsense has announced that they will ban all the arbitrage accounts and MFA ( Made for Adsense ) website accounts starting June 1st. Google is trying to clear their advertising system of websites with copied or nonsense content, full of Adsense ads, that are especially made for that and pay extremely low sums of money in Adwords or other advertising systems, with long-tail keywords to bring traffic, that will then monetize in Adsense. Those websites are not useful at all for the visitor, so he will be forced to [...]

Take Care Who You Hire

I’ve talked before about websites that place their own ads on their own website through Adwords, but now i’ve seen another one and i’m not sure that they have a man that takes care of their advertising or the webmaster himself. In both cases, you should hire someone that knows what he’s doing, so you don’t spend your money advertising in unappropiate places, like your own website or MFAs. Also, this shows the interest that the owner gives to it’s website and it’s professionalism, also the owner will spend it’s [...]

Google Checkout Along With The Sponsored Results

While searching for something with Google, i noticed that under some of the sponsored results there’s a Google Checkout logo, bigger than the one they were placing before. The logo looks nice and is very helpful for those looking to buy through Google Checkout. But mostly, is an agressive advertising for their checkout service, trying to get a bigger part of the market. For uninterested users, it can be stressing.

I thought i hated work, i was getting bored of what i was doing, i was getting tired, but it seems it’s worse without it. Everyone stays in it’s home and noone does nothing interesting, noone posts on the blogs anymore, neither on forums, so i don’t have what to read, who to cite, who to talk with, i’m bored. Everyone is on vacation and all they do is sit in their homes, watch TV, eat and sleep, they seem like sheeps to me. Oh, and if i look in [...]

New Style For Google Adsense

Google has redesigned their ads to, as they say, “to improve the look and feel of our advertisements”. I can only see one advantage at this change and that is the “Ads by Google” text movement from above to below the ads. Now the visitor doesn’t notice that fast that those are ads and he may click. Also, Google states that those new types of ads perform better both for Advertisers and Publishers, but i wonder how could they perform better for both ? A publisher wants as many as [...]
