While searching for something with Google, i noticed that under some of the sponsored results there’s a Google Checkout logo, bigger than the one they were placing before. The logo looks nice and is very helpful for those looking to buy through Google Checkout. But mostly, is an agressive advertising for their checkout service, trying to get a bigger part of the market. For uninterested users, it can be stressing.

There are rumors that say Microsoft will buy Yahoo to improve their search engine and Adcenter. Microsoft is fighting to gain a bigger part of the search engines industry, but can’t defeat Google, the best in relevance, indexing and also PPC. Yahoo could help Microsoft in this game, as it ranks better than it and has technologies that are above theirs. Aodhan Cullen, the founder of StatCounter.com is a 24 years old antrepeneur. He has released StatCounter.com when he was 16 and became extremely popular. Currently his website has a Pagerank 10, 1.3 million members and track 9 billion monthly pageviews. Google has redesigned their ads to, as they say, “to improve the look and feel of our advertisements”. I can only see one advantage at this change and that is the “Ads by Google” text movement from above to below the ads. Now the visitor doesn’t notice that fast that those are ads and he may click. It sems Adsense was only available for Romania unofficial and only a few ebsite have been accepted during this period. But now, as Cristian Mezei stated, it’s 100% sure that it will be available for romanians too in a few weeks.It will be a tough one for the romanian PPC advertising programs, because Google will surely have higher bids and it will probably be the only first tier advertising network in Romania. Unfortunately, Cristian won’t reveal it’s sources.

Ok, so the day has come, i am finally 18, now i can drink, drive ( not both on the same time ) and do a lot of stuff legally, thought it was more nicer when i was stepping a bit over the line The one reason i’m happy is that i met the legal age for driving, now i just have to get the driving license and a car. MySpace will release in the second quarter of this year a news service running on the community rating system that Digg uses in combination with the Google News system, of course, a custom made one. Google Adsense is now available for websites written in romanian language too. There were romanian ad until now, but weren’t appearing everytime and instead of them, there were public announcements. Now even the “Ads by Goooooogle” text has been translated in romanian “Reclame pe Goooooogle” and “Advertise on Google” in “Faceti publicitate pe Google”, but the second one is getting out of the ad block and the “Google” text doesn’t appear, you can only see the upper part of the “G” and “l”, they have to work on this a [...]

Google Adwords is testing yellow background ads on Google’s search results. I don’t really now how a non-seo searcher thinks, but this change will stop me clicking the sponsored ads that i was clicking until now by mistake. I prefer clicking SERP results than sponsored ones. The yellow background is much more obvious than the blue one. We will see if this performs well and if it will be implemented or will remain just a failed test.
